Los Angeles SX Dodger Stadium Round #3

Well after a not so good 9 hour delayed flight to Los Angeles due to bad weather in Washington I finally was able to get to the stadium and pick up Chris around 10:00pm and try to find our hotel. One thing I learned real quick about L.A is that you don't want to be lost you can be in a not so good area real easy. After monsoon rain most of the night and throughout the morning the AMA decided to postpone practice and make it one 12 minute practice/Qualifing session " not much time to learn a track". The track ended up being in great condition since it was tarped off and had some time to dry in the super nice weather that came to us in the afternoon. I watched practice from up in the industry seating which was actually pretty good, but from where I was at the track was proving to be pretty gnarly. First practice Washington rider Chris Johnson in the lites class crashed and broke his wrist and knocked out some teeth...Get well soon CJ. Chris Howell was in the second Supercross class practice along with some other pretty fast riders J. Grant, Jeff Allessi just to name a few. From where I was at I thought Chris rode the best I've seen him ride and he said he felt really good and still only qualified 49th fastest, between the 40th rider and the 49th rider there was only .805 of a second that seperated them the class is super stacked with talent and you for sure have to make a mistake free lap and be on your game. Chris is going to work really hard again this week and try again this weekend in Oakland. It was great meeting Mike Ivers from Sunstar and seeing all the guys from Moto Star, Mark at Dubach, Josh from Renegade Race Fuels and the great guys at Spider Energy Drink. Great job to NW Riders Mike Horban and Greg Crater for making the show. Thank you for all the continued support and get well soon Trey and Ryan.
